With keen focus on fine hand-crafting and attention to details, I am exploring and incorporating the philosophy of design - from typography to architecture - into woodwork and furniture making, with inspiration from Brutalist, Modernist and Wabi Sabi philosophies. Behind all of my interest is the desire to bring high quality, heirloom furniture to a larger market. It's rarely possible to challenge the economics of mass-produced furniture, but with efficiency, experience and a bit of lateral thinking it is possible to get the very most from a project budget. 

I attended GMIT Letterfrack Centre for Excellence in Co.Galway, Ireland, where I achieved a BSc in Furniture Design & Manufacture. ​Before setting up my own studio in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, I worked for Sir Terence Conran’s Benchmark Furniture in Kintbury, UK and for Mark Asplin Whiteley in Whitby, UK, making luxury bespoke furniture for residential and commercial projects.

I now design and make my own pieces, as well as a small range of homeware products, and also underatake commissions.
